As with any project Touch Africa needs financial support and material contribution. There are various opportunities that exist to get involved and listed below are the four primary areas.

CORPORATE SPONSORS

  • We are securing 10 corporate sponsors who will invest R100 000 each in these projects and in return they will receive the following. Each sponsor will have 6 of the artisans in a sponsor branded overall. There are 60 artisans in total. Due to the nature of the television series we envisage subliminal exposure for these respective sponsors.
  • A billboard will be erected in each of the villages and the billboard will depict handprints of all of the people involved in the rehabilitation of these communities. Over and above the respective handprints will be the sponsor’s logos that made this all possible.
  • The sponsors will be very much part of the process and be involved in the production of the television series. During this time this will allow the sponsors to maximise PR exposure and become involved.

The corporate sponsor in essence allows Touch Africa to get to the next level and without your valued contribution this project could not be launched.

SUPPLIER SPONSOR

  • We are sourcing generic suppliers who will assist us with all building materials, irrigation tools, paint etc and we currently have a quantity surveying company in Port Elizabeth who will be supplying a Bill of Quantities in order for us to approach the respective suppliers.

We envisage the contribution from each supplier to be in the region of R 100 000 which will include the material cost.

PROGRAMME SPONSORS

  • We have identified 15 worthy causes that will have dedicated programmes surrounding the plight of these individuals and communities. Each of these programmes will focus on a different aspect namely health, transport, clothing, education etc and based on these programmes we will be sourcing typical programme sponsors who will donate monies and equipment to ensure that this message is broadcast on television.
  • In the case of our local headmaster in Storms River who desperately needs office automation we will approach an office automation supplier who will fund the production of this programme and also supply the equipment to make this headmasters life easier.

Due to the nature of the show these category sponsors can expect to receive wonderful exposure within this 5 minute slot. This will be a targeted sponsorship drive and the cost to participate within these programmes is R 100 000.

EVENT SPONSORS

  • Event sponsors are really those organisations that want to use this as a forum to communicate to the people. We are erecting a massive climbing wall with the words "Climb Against Crime" and are currently in negotiation with a sponsor who will donate R20 for every person who climbs which will then be used for a local crime prevention project.
  • It could be the likes of Eskom who want to communicate the dangers of power lines or Telkom who want to talk about cable theft. These event sponsors will form part of our road show and highly visible in each of the areas that we visit.

The cost to be part of Touch Africa and the village makeover will be R 100 000 per event sponsor.
